Use a chair pad and alarm when you need to know if your patient is starting to stand from their chair. The pad is placed in the seating area of their chair, and as soon as their weight is removed, the alarm will start to sound. Pad and alarm are simple to put into use (operates with a 9 volt battery (not included) or you can purchase the optional Kerr Medical AC adapter which can be found by typing 'KERR AC-02' in the browser bar above. By using the AC adapter (which plugs into the alarm box) you will use less batteries over the life of the product. But keep a battery in the alarm as a back up for safety reasons. Manufacturer warranties this system for 1 year. The term 'Long Term' is an industry term used in Nursing Homes where the 1 year pad is the longest term of warranty available for a pad. Although your pad and alarm may last much longer than the warranty period, the manufacturer suggests pad replacement after a year, (contact seller for more information).
