- 5-wire tail light systems only: these light kits are suitable for vehicles with 5-wire tail light systems only (with turn signals and brake light separated). It will not work for pickup SUVs with 4 wire tail light system such as 2005 Nissan Frontier 4x4 nismo, 2001 Ford F550. If using them for 4-wire vehicles, the brake light will light up in the wrong amber color instead of red color. Please double-check your trailer wiring plug connector before installation.
