Easy for adults, but difficult for small children to operate - lift door upward and allow the inner tabs of the swing guard to clear the bottom metal bar to open. Ideal for use in doorways, stairways, and halls, this tastefully designed infant gate has an extra-wide 21.5" walkthrough to allow for easy in and out access and stands 29" tall. Fits openings 29.5" to 35" wide. Additional extensions are available for purchase to extend up to 54". Suitable for children 6 to 24 months. Installation Note: This gate ships with a gap between the gate frame and the handles. This is not a defect. The gap will close once gate is properly installed. For maximum safety, use four wall cups with sticky pads and screws provided when installing the gate in all locations.
