How does it work? It starts with the Shift Shell, which is composed of a highly durable polymer injection-molded to the contours of your handgun. In fact, it's the same type of polymer that some of your semi-automatics are made from. The low-profile Shift Shell encapsulates the handgun's trigger guard and slide, and is transplanted between the available ShapeShift holsters. A holster shell must be functional, sure, but it has to be comfortable. Take a look at the ShapeShift 4.0 IWB Holster. Its backer features four materials: soft perforated neoprene that wicks sweat away from the holster, ballistic nylon that lends extraordinary durability, spring steel in the core that acts as the holster's backbone and a thermoplastic elastomer front that lends drag and resilience to the holster overall. Its passive retention may be tightened or loosened with a few turns of one of the Shift Shell's twist locks, and that's the case with all ShapeShift holsters. The 4.0 IWB Holster's cant and ride height may be changed by raising and lowering the clips, which may be removed and reinstalled with a couple twists of the wrist.
