The Medium Mug is not only a handsome work of art, but is quite versatile and holds 16 - 20 oz of your favorite hot or cold beverage. Established in 1981, Clay in Motion is a family owned and operated pottery studio located in Milton-Freewater Oregon that produces more than 100 different types of high-fire stoneware and specialty items. They use the highest grade of clay which gives it a smooth texture and high density, and they prepare and mix all their own glazes in order to control the contents. Each piece is hand crafted with great care from start to finish, and is proudly signed by the original craftsman to establish authenticity. There are twelve steps in making a superior piece of pottery, the final one being to inspect every piece to ensure you receive the best possible product. These handmade mugs are kiln fired at 2200 F which completely seals the mug body making it impervious to water. Small bubbles and flaws in the glaze are therefore cosmetic in nature, which adds to the unique design of your mug.
