• COMBINATION VISE: The Yost Vises 460 6-inch utility combination pipe and bench vise is made from a 30,000 PSI cast grey iron with a steel U-channel bar. Equipped with a large anvil work surface, it also has replaceable hardened steel serrated top jaws and a large pipe capacity permanent serrated pipe jaw.

• HOW TO USE: Make sure vise is securely mounted to the workbench and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the vise handle counterclockwise. Place item between the serrated jaws. Close the vise by turning the vise handle clockwise until the item is snug in the serrated jaws, continue to tighten until you can no longer move item. Don't over tighten as this may damage item and or the vise. When finished working on the item, turn screw handle counterclockwise to release the item.

<div class="aplus"><p>The Yost Vises 460 6" Apprentice series utility combination pipe and bench vise has a 180-degree swivel base and mounts to a workbench to provide clamping action for light-duty applications. The 180-degree swivel base adjusts the direction of the jaws for proper placement. Hand-tightening the lock knob on the base secures its position. The vise has a cast iron body with steel U-channel bar for durability and has a flat portion that acts as an anvil and additional work surface. The hardened steel top jaws and the built-in cast pipe jaws are grooved for enhanced grip. The top jaws can be replaced when worn. The jaws draw closer together or farther apart by turning the vise handle clockwise or counterclockwise.</p><p>A rubber washer on either side of the vise handle prevents unwanted sliding when turning.
