Rain Bird ET/1PK25S Drip Irrigation Emitter Installation and Removal Tool. Convenient multi-function tool punctures 1/2” Drip tubing and installs Rain Bird dripper/emitters or 1/4” fittings in one rapid action. Quickly installs or removes Rain Bird spot watering emitters, 1/4” barbed fittings, and 1/4” tubing "goof plugs". Simply place an emitter or fitting into specialized opening in end of tool; press barbed point into side wall of 1/2" tubing. Pull tool away leaving emitter or fitting embedded in tubing. You're now ready to slide 1/4" tubing onto your installed emitter or fitting. **Installation tip: for easiest penetration of 1/2" Drip tubing, use a slight twisting motion when inserting barbed 1/4" emitters or fittings. This technique reduces the downward force necessary preventing flattening of tubing which can cause penetration through the opposite side. To remove emitters or fittings use the notch in the side of tool. To insert "goof plugs" to seal holes in 1/2" Drip tubing use the larger hole located in handle end of Emitter Tool. Rain Bird "goof plugs" feature small ridges to hold them firmly in tool; these ridges flatten slightly when plug is inserted allowing for easy deployment into tubing.
