Chanel Haynes of Trin-i-Tee 5:7 releases her debut single Believe and accompanying lyric video online this week. Believe is the first single from her upcoming solo debut, Trin-I-Tee 5:7 According To Chanel, which is set to release first quarter, 2014, on her independent label, Obsidian Records. I am truly excited about releasing my Believe single and lyric video, said Chanel. When I was young, I was inspired musically and spiritually by music from Andraé Crouch, Sandra Crouch and The Hawkins Family. I wrote Believe to honor them. When I started working on this song I closed my eyes and imagined I was in the living room with my mom as a kid, listening to all their early records. The lyrics just started flowing through me! Chanel s 12-song album features the signature contemporary Gospel/Urban sound of Trin-i-tee 5:7, but for the first time, spotlights Chanel as a solo artist, songwriter, and producer on the project, which she produced with Darion Dorsey. I am truly excited about this album for so many reasons, said Chanel. The CD is personal to me because it s the first album where I was able to write and perform songs that were 100% Chanel, and every single decision came from me and my company. It reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I feel so blessed and empowered to be an example to young artists who carry God- inspired dreams in their hearts.
