High quality two-part polyester finishing resin (also called surfboard resin) is used extensively for marine repairs and restoration. The polyester resin contains wax and cures tack-free forming a hard clear finish. Perfect for top-coating over wood, metal, and composites such as fiberglass. 1 bottle of MEKP (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) hardener is included with the quart or gallon of marine finishing resin. Engineered with a medium viscosity, the resin minimized dripping and sagging of product on vertical surfaces. The repair resin is typically used for one-coat glasswork or as a final, tack-free, sealer coat over tacky polyester laminating resin coats.
