Developed and expanded from a short story that won Sufficientvelocity.com's best Summer 2015 short science-fiction award! <br /><br />Agent Kingsley and Agent Coleman work for the MRB, a government agency that polices heroes, villains, and supernatural creatures. They work the Icon City beat, running in costumed supers who break the law and making sure the things that go bump in the night are obeying local noise ordinances. They're highly trained and experienced, and have a few powers of their own; she's infused with angelic essence, he's got a shard of a demon buried in his soul. Together, they fight crime!<br /><br />A routine checkup on a 910 call (Possible undead manifestation) turns into something more convoluted; someone is bringing dreams to life, and they aren't the good kind of dreams. Can Kingsley and Coleman stave off nightmarish zombie hordes while shepherding a rookie, dealing with supervillains, and hunting down rogue deities? Even more importantly, will they have to skip their morning coffee run?<br /><br />This is part of the 'Tales from the Teslaverse' line. Expect more to come!
