Essence Myers was once a beautiful African-American woman. Even after experiencing a life filled with torment, Essence turned her dark past around with the help of her husband, Kareem. Working as a motivational speaker to help young, at risk teenagers, Essence had it all. But, things turn for the worst after she suspects that Kareem is cheating on her. Feeling alone and craving for affection, Essence runs into the arms of another man. After falling in love with him, she learns the hard way that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Will Essence be able to get her life back on track? Or will it be too late to the point that she has to fight for her life?
