Note this isn't a politically correct novel.<br /><br />Picks up right after the events of Book 6, REVENGE. Both Washington D.C. and the Von Braun Center where Jay and Lacy are holding a town hall meeting are destroyed. It appears both Presidents are dead. Both countries are shaken by the loss of their leaders. <br /><br />In the North, the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, takes the oath becoming the first woman President. In the South, which was about to hold elections, things aren't as clear. The Confederate Vice President is an ex-mob boss. Many people in the new country are worried about voting for him, while the country's future is being decided, Tony holds the country together. <br /><br />Admiral Jefferson and the Chinese agree to a trade and military cooperation treaty. <br /><br />The new shelters are completed and the tunnel connecting Jay's shelter with the caverns in Kentucky have been started. <br /><br />The economy of the North continues to slide into the crapper while the South's strengthens. In order to stop the bleeding, President Pelosi cuts the military 30%, on top of the previous cuts. Entire divisions move south with all of their equipment.<br /><br />From the debris of the Von Braun Center, a single survivor is discovered, this survivor holds the key to the Confederacy's survival and future.<br /><br />The Shelter Book 7, Genesis is the new beginning of the Confederacy as a major world power with a new government. .
