The Secrets of Stage Conjuring

Robert-Houdin (December 6, 1805 – June 13, 1871) was a French magician. He is widely considered the father of the modern style of conjuring. American magician and escape artist Harry Houdini (born Ehrich Weiss) was so impressed by Robert-Houdin that, after reading his autobiography in 1890, Ehrich adopted the stage name of "Houdini" in honour of Robert-Houdin.<br />Unlike some other books published by Houdin to teach amateurs magic, this book should only be purchased by professional magicians.
