The Jubilee Cane:A Kaleidoscopic Repeating Pattern in Polymer Clay

The Jubilee Cane takes three main colors and combines them with white, black, and each other to create a complex tapestry of color. Clever reduction and recombination of the original cylindrical cane component results in a rectangular piece, perfect for tiling into a large sheet of repeating kaleidoscopic pattern. If you are comfortable with the Skinner blend technique and can reduce and re-assemble millefiori canes, you can do this project.<br /><br />REQUIRED SKILLS<br /><br />The project is geared towards those with some experience in the millefiori technique. If you have these skills:<br /><br />Skinner Blend<br />Assembling Canes<br />Reducing Canes<br /><br />then you can do this.<br /><br />TOOLS AND MATERIALS<br /><br />You will need one package each of three main colors. I used Premo! Sculpey in :<br /><br />Denim<br />Wasabi<br />Burnt Sienna<br /><br />Feel free to substitute your own favorite colors.
