From 1983 to 1986. “The Voice," Vern Gosdin had a string of hits for the now defunct Compleat label. These records emphasized close harmony and heartache. During this period, Gosdin also cut an extraordinary Gospel album simply called The Gospel Album. <P>After his time with Compleat, Vern gave the country music world hits such as “Do You Believe Me Now," “Set ‘Em Up Joe," “Chiseled In Stone," “I'm Still Crazy," and re-cuts of “If You're Gonna Do Me Wrong (Do It Right)," and “Today My World Slipped Away." But it's Vern's Compleat recordings, as exemplified on The Gospel Album, that are arguably his best work. <P>Music Mill Entertainment has agreed with Vern Gosdin Enterprises/VGM Records to distribute this long unavailable and in-demand piece.
