This play is set in a small town not far away from Kuala Lumpur (fondly known as KL) the capital city. It is about a young woman who dreamed of a better life after meeting a young police officer. Society thinks otherwise and is unforgiving of any woman who tries to break out of her social class.<br />Mei Ling looks forward to a new chapter in her life when Detective Sergeant Lee proposes to her. However, her past catches up with her. Can she win her future mother-in-law’s approval? Will she escape the clutches of the underworld? <br />
