With a career spanning almost sixty years, rumours of mob connections and appearing in all three The Godfather films, Al Martino stands high up on the list of great vocalists of the 20th Century. The first tracks in this collection are four of Al Martino's biggest hits: "Here In My Heart", "Wanted", "Take My Heart" and "Rachel", whilst tracks 6 to 10 are rarely heard standards from his early days. This wonderful 2CD set isn't just about the hits. Al Martino material seems to have been shamefully neglected for far too long and across the majority of this set there are many a gem "All I Want Is A Chance", "Here Are My Arms" and "I Still Believe" would be just a few that worth a mention! Disc 2 shows another side of Al in the form of the complete 'Swing Along With Al Martino' album. With a lot of material being not easy to find, this has to be one of the only compilations of the great man's material that is worth owning. All in all, this is a treat for fans of Al Martino.
