Tab at the Tab

The septet that comprises the latest fiery incarnation of Trey Anastasio Band mixes the new and the old in both band members and repertoire. Original TAB members Russ Lawton (drums), Tony Markellis (bass) and Ray Paczkowski (keys) are joined by horn section Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet and vocals), Russell Remington (tenor saxophone and flute), and newcomer Natalie Cressman (trombone and vocals). Recorded live at the legendary Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA, this set runs through such classics as a ripping 'Sand' and a sweetly sung 'Drifting' and pairs them with new TAB compositions including 'Show of Life' (co-written with Steve 'Dude of Life' Pollack) and a horn laden arrangement of Phish's 'Alaska'. TAB at the Tab ends on a high note with Jennifer Hartwick's killer trumpet chops on a raucous cover of Zeppelin's 'Black Dog.'
