An easy-to-build, all board-mounted APC! With more stepped tones and better bass response, the APC Handheld is a new take on a classic circuit! Originally designed by DIY electronics guru Forrest Mims III as the "Stepped Tone Generator," the Atari Punk Console is one of the most famous and recognizable Lo-Fi synth circuits ever. Using a single 556 dual timer IC with minimal part count, the Atari Punk Console circuit is a solid, time-tested noise generator capable of outrageous square wave madness! Requires a 9V battery or a 2.1-2.5mm 9V center negative power supply of at least 50mA (not included). A Boss-style or one-spot adapter will work fine. PCB size: 83x53mm Important note about the CV Input: Make sure the tip of your cable is positive voltage, not to exceed 10V DC, and the sleeve is grounded (this is normal CV polarity). Plugging reversed polarity CV into your CV input may damage your unit and void your warranty
