Stop undesirable dog barking behavior with the Sunbeam Ultrasonic Egg. This indoor/outdoor device emits an ultrasonic noise that only dogs can hear, stopping barking in it's tracks. The devices includes 3 levels of sensitivity so you can adjust it to your dog's individual barking needs. EXAMPLE 1: A backyard cookout, and the neighbors dog is barking. Device is turned on and set as close as possible to the dog and pointed right at the dog with no obstructions in-between. The microphone sensitivity is set to "High" and the operator checks to see the green light comes on only when the dog barks and at no other sound. When the cookout is over, the device is turned off. EXAMPLE 2: Your dog barks when it sees squirrels out the window. The device is mounted to the wall 5 feet off the floor and pointed at the spot where your dog barks. Microphone sensitivity is set to low. You use the device during the day for a week, monitoring when the green light goes on and your dogs reaction, and using other verbal commands and training to help your dog learn. You stay aware of loud noises that may set off the device. Once the dog is trained, the device is then used sparingly. EXAMPLE 4: You use the device while you are mowing the lawn. This will not work because the noise of the mower will set off the device. EXAMPLE 5: You place the device near a door that is loud enough to set the device off. This will not work. EXAMPLE 6: You use the device properly and it works for a week. Then the dog ignores the device or becomes scared or aggravated by it. This device will not work on its own forever, but is a supplement to other training. When other training is not available (such as with a neighbors dog), the device alone will not be enough to stop a dog from barking if used constantly.
