Sing The Broadway Musical Godspell (2-Disc Karaoke CDG)
Begun as a Carnegie Mellon University thesis project, <i>Godspell</i> debuted off-Broadway in 1971, became a movie in 1973 and moved to Broadway in 1976. Stephen Schwartz received his second Tony nomination when <i>Godspell</i> was nominated for Best Score in 1977. He had previously been nominated for his 1973 Broadway musical, <i>Pippin</i>, and would again be nominated for his current musical, <i>Wicked</i>. <p> Our accompaniment/karaoke CD of songs from <i>Godspell</i> features 32 tracks. Tracks 1-16 contain the background tracks and guide vocals; tracks 17-32 contain the accompaniment tracks alone. This album is a re-recording in the original show key and show tempo. <p> This album plays in any CD player. In a karaoke machine, lyrics will appear on-screen. A lyric booklet is included.
