Shovels & Rope
The album titled <i>Shovels & Rope</i> was originally released in 2008 as a collaboration by two then-solo artists, Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. After a few years of touring together as Cary Ann Hearst & Michael Trent, the two decided to adopt the name of their album Shovels & Rope as the official band name. The band's first album under the Shovels & Rope moniker, <i>O' Be Joyful</i>, was released in 2012 to much critical acclaim.Being released on vinyl for the first time on Black Friday 2013, Cary Ann Hearst & Michael Trent's album Shovels & Rope includes fan favorites "Boxcar" and "Gasoline."
