Leigh Evans’s perception of reality is about to be shifted. <br /> <br />On the night of her high school graduation, Leigh stumbles onto a secret hiding in her sleepy rural town. What appears to be a case of serial abduction and murder is something darker, more sinister. <br /> <br />Enter Peter and Mollie Monroe, twins trained to hunt down and destroy the things that give people a reason to be afraid of the dark. <br /> <br />When the lives of these three intersect, nothing will ever be the same. <br /> <br />Leigh is thrust into a world she never knew existed, faced with dark creatures and secrets about her own past. <br /> <br /><b>Episode 2</b>: Not everything is as it seems when Peter and Leigh investigate the brutal murder of a seemingly innocent couple. The job takes them to Peter's aunt's house, where Peter is forced to deal with his loss and the consequences of his actions. <br /> <br />This is the second episode of the SHIFTED Serial and is novelette length (approximately 15,000 words).
