From a village in the forests of Småland, Sweden, progressive doom metallers Kongh carry the genre to new, intense heights. Expressing torment and triumph alike, Kongh s music journeys through a vast sonic range, driven by an unstoppable momentum.<br>Kongh s second album, Shadows of the Shapeless, was recorded and mixed in Sweden by Peter Lundin at Teknikkompaniet (Trey Anastasio, The Sounds) and mastered by Peter In de Betou (Entombed, Meshuggah).<br>Shadows of the Shapeless was originally released on CD in Europe by Trust No One Recordings (Isis, Khanate, Cult Of Luna) in 2009. <br>Shadows of the Shapeless, as well as Kongh s debut album, Counting Heartbeats, earned massive critical acclaim in Europe via mags such as Metal Hammer and Rock Sound. Counting Heartbeats was nominated for 'Best Rock/Metal Album of 2007' (up against Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, and Marduk) by P3 Rock, Sweden s premier rock radio show.<br>Kongh names directors such as Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, and Lucio Fulci amongst its biggest influences; Kongh s sound owes as much to these films as to the music of Black Sabbath, Melvins, and YOB.<br>Since 2006, Kongh has played across Europe with the likes of Neurosis, Cult Of Luna, Minsk, A Storm Of Light, and Switchblade. <br>In 2008, Kongh headlined the Kuma s Doom Fest, a two-day festival in Chicago hosted by the most renowned metal bar and grill in the USA, Kuma s Corner.
