The saxophonist's brother Albert ""Tootie"" Heath is featured on drums on both LPs. Although the other musicians change from album to album, they are all true stars, including the likes of Nat Adderley, Freddie Hubbard, Curtis Fuller, Julius Watkins, Wynton Kelly, Cedar Walton, Paul Chambers, and, on the second LP, the third Heath brother, bassist Percy Heath.
