Secrets of Life features many of the artist's trademarks that have helped him release some recent classics: breathy flutes, moody atmospheres, light rhythms with a tribal feel, a touch of Asian/Eastern spirituality and elements of mystical electronica to round things off. Inshallah, the opening track, is a throwback to Enigma with Middle Eastern vocals by Muhammed Eghbal. Hidden Places, Morning Glory and Eagle's Flight all feature guitar-work from special guest Govi, who imparts them with a sensuous island flair and tropical feel that fits well with the rest of the breezy yet rooted sound.
