The 2" roughing gouge helps you remove large quantities of stock to get your workpiece to a round workable shape. The large 2" flute on this roughing gouge enables you to work with large pieces that can otherwise be difficult with a smaller roughing gouges. It will also work on smaller projects as well. Made from high speed steel with a 13½" hardwood handle and 6-1/8" tool secured with a brass ferrule. CAUTION: Roughing Gouges are specifically designed to be use as a roughing tool. Roughing Gouges are NOT designed to cut cross grain or inside bowls as it is likely to catch and cause damage to the tool or cause personal injury
