Meanwhile, General Jack O€Neill reluctantly takes charge of a radical new weapons chair training program.<br /><br />But when a natural disaster hits Antarctica, the future of the Ancient outpost €“ and of Earth itself €“ is thrown into jeopardy. Now.€<br /><br />Daniel stepped to the edge of the platform. €œJack, what€s going on?€<br /><br />€œWe€re gating out of here, that€s what.€ Jack rushed over to the DHD. €œWe€ll head to the Alpha site.€<br /><br />€œWait a minute!€ Daniel ran down the platform steps. Sam and Teal€c followed close behind. €œDon€t we want to figure out where €˜here€ is, first?€<br /><br />€œNot really, no.€ Jack jabbed a finger in the air. €œSomeone€s playing games with us and I€m not in the mood.€<br /><br />Someone needed to calm their normally fearless leader fast.<br /><br />Fortunately, Teal€c took the fall. €œO€Neill, have you any memory of€‰€"?€<br /><br />€œNada. Bupkiss.€ Jack€s voice lowered. <br /><br />€œMe, either,€ said Daniel.<br /><br />€œThe last thing I remember was€¦€ Sam frowned. €œWell, that€s odd.€<br /><br />€œCarter?€<br /><br />€œSir, I remember who I am.€ She gestured at Jack, then Daniel and Teal€c. €œI remember all of you, but€‰€"€<br /><br />€œYeah, I€m having trouble, too,€ Daniel said. €œMy long-term memory€s fine, but short-term€s€‰€"€<br /><br />€œGone,€ Jack whispered.
