Fabric is heavy-duty, tight-knit polyester canvas liquid-coated (not laminated) on both sides with vinyl for maximum waterproofness and durability. As a result, the carrier is tear-proof, abrasion-resistant, resistant to extreme heat and cold, immune to the sun's UV rays, mildew-resistant and fire-retardant.
• Size 11 fits all cars, large and small. Size 15 fits only larger cars: SUVs, vans and full size sedans. Fits only cars with SIDE RAILS, CROSS BARS, or BASKETS. Recommended accessory: RoofBag Protective Mat (sold at RoofBag's Amazon store). It protects the roof from scratching and keeps the carrier from shifting.
• Secure attachment: Included heavy duty straps are designed to secure the carrier at any highway speed: seat-belt style, 1.5" wide, 3,000 lbs strong. Unique STRAP GUIDE fastening system is more secure than any other system: straps are not attached to carrier (attachments can tear away), but slide under guides at the top of the bag. Straps press down the carrier against the roof for the most secure and stable attachment.
