Safe in the oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher, Pyrex is a special glass that withstands the shock of going from hot to cold, or vice versa, without breaking. This set consists of 1-7/8-cup, 5-cup, and 3-quart rectangular dishes, all with plastic covers. The covers have big handles for easy removal; an interlocking design so you can stack the dishes; and vents that evacuate excess air when the dishes are used for storage and let steam escape when the dishes are used in a microwave oven. (While the dishes are safe in any oven, the covers can only be used in a microwave.)
