Originally released in January 2006, Alan Jackson s Precious Memories album was created<br>as an ode to his mother who, throughout his career, consistently requested that Alan<br>record a gospel album. So, Alan recorded Precious Memories with 15 traditional gospel<br>hymns, never anticipating that anyone, besides his mother, would be interested in the<br>project. Precious Memories has since sold 1.7 million albums and is currently out of<br>circulation, until now.<p><br>The re-release of Precious Memories on March 27th comes at a time when Alan Jackson is<br>as relevant to the country music format, and music in general, than ever before.
