This means that the pH of your pool is too high! The pH should lie somewhere between 7.2 and 7.6. For example: you'll need to add 2.50 lbs. of dry acid to reduce the pH of a 20,000 gal. pool by .2 pH points .</p> <p>After measuring, slowly add the dry acid in the deepest part of your pool. Use a pool brush to disperse and distribute the dry acid evenly until it disappears. Wait three to six hours before retesting and/or swimming. </p>
