The Plugable USBC-SATA24 cable uses the same ASMedia ASM1351 chipset as our USBC-SATA-V upright SATA dock. This means you have access to USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer speeds up to 10Gbps right in your pocket.<br><br>Performance depends on the capabilities of your computer and hard drive. For example, a SATA III SSD over USB-C with this cable will still be limited to SATA III transfer speeds. <br><br><b>Form Factor</b><br><br>Premium 6 inch (24 cm) shielded cable turns any SATA SSD or 2.5" HDD into an external hard drive. We chose this cable length after extensive testing to provide users the most flexibility without sacrificing performance. Power delivery over USB-C port means no additional power supply required for use. <br><br><b>Compatibility</b><br><br>Native compatibility with Windows, Mac, and Linux - no additional software or drivers required.
