The Photek SoftLighter Umbrella with Removable 8mm Shaft (60 In.) takes light from your strobe head or mono light, reflects it into its white panel, then softens it again with a diffuser on its way out. These light modifiers can alter the color of your light or give it more sparkle and contrast, as well as increasing light output by a half stop. This 60" size is perfect for a 1 - 2 person head-to-waist shot or 3x4 ft product setup. It will illuminate 11 sq ft. The SoftLighter's 10 panel construction (instead of the usual 8) gives the fabric tighter support that results in more controllable output and refined circular catchlights in the eyes of your subjects. The umbrella's black backing is removable allowing you to shoot through the translucent white fabric for snappier contrast.
