During the Hundred Years War, Joan of Arc (around 1412-1431), succeeded in liberating Orleans and thanks to her victories the dauphin was crowned in Reims. She was sold to the English by the Burgundians, the enemies of King Charles VII, and after being found guilty of heresy was burned at the stake on May 30, 1431.
