In 2002, Rich Robinson went into the studio with the help of some friends and make a solo record. That's where Paper began. He had Joe Magistro, Eddie Harsch, Donnie Heron, and Antoine Silverman conducting the strings. They went into Globe Studios in New York s meat packing district and knocked it out. <br>The Crowes got back together in 2005 and the record went on the shelf during that time. The Crowes stayed busy for a solid 5 years. In 2012, hurricane Sandy pounded New Jersey where Robinson stored all of his gear and the 2" master tapes for Paper. Pretty much everything was destroyed. Luckily a friend was able to restore the tapes. <br>Once that restoration work was completed, Robinson decided that he wanted to completely re-approach this album. They took the tapes and Robinson sang all new vocals, changed the sequencing, as well as remixing and remastering the album.
