The Opti-Free Puremoist Rewetting Drops formula is considered thimerosal-free and sorbic acid-free. The proper use of these rewetting drops is to moisten, reduce discomfort, and help remove particular material that may result in eye irritation or discomfort. Using this formula to lubricate the contact lenses multiple times during the day may also allow for extended use.
