'Once Bitten' (1987), the 3rd studio album from American Hard Rock Band Great White, marked the band's first brush with mainstream success. Featuring the hit song, 'Rock Me' - still one of Great White's most enduring songs - Once Bitten went onto sell over a million albums, and introduced the group to a nation of new and eager listeners. From the hard rocking riffs of lead guitarist Mark Kendall on, 'Lady Red Light' to the vocals of lead singer Jack Russell on the soaring rock ballad, 'Save Your Love', the depth of Once Bitten proved that Great White was more than just a one hit wonder. The band's distinctive bluesy rock got the attention of fans looking for something different than Aerosmith or Van Halen - fans who came out in droves for Great White's follow up album, '...Twice Shy', which catapulted the band to stardom just two years later.
