Saxophonist Marcus Strickland makes his Blue Note debut with Nihil Novi produced by Meshell Ndegeocello & featuring contributions from vocalist Jean Baylor, pianist Robert Glasper, bassist Pino Palladino, trumpeter Keyon Harrold, and drummers Chris Dave and Charles Haynes. The thoughtful & funky album defies genre by blurring the line between jazz & R&B, and the promotional campaign will reach beyond jazz into urban and general music outlets. Strickland will tour the U.S. & Europe this year.
