CUBELETS Modular Robotics Robot Blocks Brightness Robot Cube for Home Robotics STEM Kit - Detects Light - Ages 4+
- THE BUILDING BLOCKS FOR IMAGINATION AND EDUCATION. Cubelets are small, autonomous robot cubes used for teaching basic robotics and programming for kids ages 4 and up
- Each robot cube falls into one of three categories: SENSE, THINK and ACT. Connect three or more Cubelets robot blocks from each category to create a programmable robot. Kids can also change their Cubelets programming with our Personality Swap function, available in the Cubelets app or from the dashboard
- The Brightness Cubelet is a SENSE robot cube that detects the amount of light hitting its sensor. It has an analog photocell that responds to varying light conditions, with values near zero in a dark room, and near one when the sensor is in front of a bright light
- Create robot constructions that respond to light! Build a little robot that can follow the sunlight as it moves about the room or a little robotic mouse that runs whenever the lights turn on. The robotics possibilities are endless anywhere there’s light
- Already in use in thousands of classrooms, Cubelets STEM kits are both fun and educational, fostering the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on engagement for kids as young as 4 years old
The Brightness Sense Cubelet by Modular Robotics is an individual magnetic block that features a built-in analog photocell light sensor that reacts based upon the amount of light available. On its own it is simply a smart magnetic block but when combined with additional robotic Cubelets it will add the ability for the robot to react based upon ambient light it is exposed to. This Cubelet is an accessory for use in expanding your Modular Robotics Starter and Standard kits. The Brightness Cubelet is part of the Sense family of Cubelets which are robotic blocks that are inputs. These Sense Cubelets act similarly to how eyes and ears do for us and cause the robots they are part of to react based upon what they do and don't sense in the their surrounding environment.
