Margaret Whiting scored major hits in the 1940s, and in 1959 was invited to re-record 12 of her<br>Top 20 hits in stereo. They are contained here, available on CD for the first time, as well as some<br>contemporary hits of the day. Included are her chart-toppers and million sellers A Tree In The<br>Meadow and Slippin Around plus Now Is The Hour and Far Away Places, both of which<br>reached #2 in the charts. The three bonus tracks at the end are private recordings, made by Whiting<br>with her regular pianist Walter Gross, never before issued.
