WiFi thermostats that communicate with smart home systems like Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKitTM often need a constant 24V AC power source, typically called a C-wire. The LUX Power Bridge allows homes with 3 and 4 wire systems to take advantage of the benefits of smart thermostats without requiring a new wires to be installed between the furnace equipment and the thermostat. If a C-wire is not present at the thermostat location, adding the LUX Power Bridge can provide the additional C-wire in most 3 or 4 wire heating or cooling systems.
