The Muir-era line-up has always been surrounded with an air of mystery partly due to the lack of reliable documentation which has been available. Listening to this album it's clear that the power that swept off the stage and into the audience of Guildford's Civic Hall remains undiminished and nothing short of astonishing. <br>The reputation of the 1972/74 King Crimson line-ups comes from shows such as this soundboard recording of the band. Having formed in July of 1972, the band played three nights at the Zoom Club in Frankfurt & recorded a TV performance for Beat Club Germany in October prior to embarking on a full UK tour.
