Factory continues its campaign of archival ELP live releases with Live in Montreal, 1977, the first-ever official release of this legendary concert which captured the band during the legendary Works tour, just they before the jettisoned the orchestra due to financial reasons, after only a handful of performances, making this document all the more valuable. Says Keith Emerson, "the concert for me remains one of the highlights of my musical life."<br><br>With Keith Emerson on keyboards, Greg Lake on bass and vocals and Carl Palmer on drums, ELP broadened the audience for progressive rock. The band released a series of landmark albums in the 1970s, and several more in the '90s after a 14-year hiatus.
