Robert Palmer's career has spanned over 25 years and encompassed any number of musical styles: from the R & B flavor of 1978's `Every Kinda People' to the out-and-out crunch of The Power Station, or to the big band sound and jazz standards of 1992's Ridin' High. Palmer was mixing African juju, calypso, samba, funk, pop, techno and rock long before it was fashionably dubbed World Music. He has had more hits than most artists can ever dream of, and recently he returned to the studio and came up with two totally different albums; `R & B', and `Woke Up Laughing: Adventures in Tropical Music 1977 - 1997'. One is a retrospective and one is an homage to a favorite musical style, yet totally current. 2003 sees Robert release his first complete live album, taken from the final night of his record breaking tour in 1988: Live at The Apollo. <P>Mixed by Robert Palmer himself, this stunning live album had never seen the light of day due to Robert's hectic globetrotting schedule.
