Lionel Wall Calendar: This Lionel wall calendar is a 16 month, 24 page calendar featuring nostalgic Lionel trains painted by Angela Trotta Thomas, the first artist to be licensed by Lionel. For over a century, the artwork found in the pages of Lionel catalogs conjures memories of wonder as images of shining streamliners race across the plains and steam engines chug across mountain reigns. For 25 years, Angela Trotta Thomas has created Rockwell like paintings that are a mixture of Lionel trains, the nostalgia of childhood and the magic of the holiday season. Known as The Train Lady, Angela is the only artist to ever be licensed with Lionel. In 2000, she was selected to paint Lionel's Centennial Catalog cover, the first illustrated catalog cover since 1969. Since then her artwork has been featured every year on a holiday boxcar for Christmas to aid in finding the perfect train under the tree.
