The Lethan LC2730 jumbo economy Wimshurst Machine features large 10.75" Acrylic discs, which are @20% larger in diameter and 35% thicker compared to the economy wimshurst machines offered by companies like American Educational (7-509 model cited). The larger discs are supported by a beefed up pulley system and an added acrylic support brace in the rear. The base is also 25% larger to make for a very stable platform. This device has a maximum spark length of @3.5". No assembly required, simply attach the hand crank, begin cranking, and watch in wonder as the sparks fly.
