This is the mid-priced Australian issue of Argo's best-selling recording "Tangazo" still available at full price in Europe. Conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and the Florida based New World Symphony have great fun performing works by familiar and some not-so-familiar mostly South American composers. Carlos Chavez's Symphony no. 2 (Sinfonia India), Astor Piazzolla's "Tangazo" and Alberto Ginastera's "Danzas del ballet Estancia" are especially memorably tuneful, stylish, and well... swing!
