• The In The Swim gunite primer is perfect for fiberglass, rough plaster, rough concrete, new gunite or sandblasted surfaces swimming pool surfaces. It smooths those rough and rugged surfaces, ultimately providing a great base prior to painting. This generally allows users to only need to apply a single coat of super poxy shield paint, saving you from over spending.
• For optimal results, the entire surface must be acid cleaned before applying primer. Do not use a soap-detergent, it can leave a film on the surface which will result in poor paint adhesion.
• Gunite primer's heavy viscosity fills imperfections in your pool, providing a smooth and uniform look throughout the surface. Gunite primer should be applied with a paint roller. 1 gallon covers approximately 100-150 square feet.
• Acid etching is required on bare masonry surfaces like concrete or plaster. It is also effective for removing chalky residue and hard mineral deposits on a previously painted pool.

In The Swim Gunite Primer is a two-part epoxy primer typically used on fiberglass gel-coat, rough plaster, rough concrete, or sandblasted surfaces. Gunite Primer's heavy viscosity fills imperfections on the interior surface give a more uniform look. Gunite Primer should be rolled on with a paint roller. Coverage: Approximately 100-150 square feet per gallon. Should be applied liberally using a 1/2" nap roller cover. Pot Life: 4 hours at 85° F. Curing Time before rolling Super Poxy Shield 24 - 48 hours.
