HEART DON'T LIE
In 1983 LaToya moved to a burgeoning new CBS Associated label, Private-I Records, with the single Bet'cha Gonna Need My Lovin' which flew into the top forty of Billboard's R&B chart. LaToya continued to work on her third LP through the beginning of 1984, enlisting help again from her famous brothers, as well as Kool & The Gang, Kay-Gees guitarist Amir Bayyan, Musical Youth and Shalamar's Howard Hewett. The Heart Don't Lie album saw LaToya's star rise even higher, with a handful of successful singles like Hot Potato, the Prince-penned Private Joy and the title track, which charted at number 54 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. Limited edition of 2000.
